The building was designed in 1937 and commissioned by the fascist Mussolini. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palazzo_della_Civilt%C3%A0_Italiana

I think both of you guys detected some signs of this.

fschmidt said it lacks feeling. I think this because it is Authoritarian.

qwerty said designed with the intention of imitating older buildings. I think this is because Mussolini had grandeurs of rebuilding Rome.
